BUDGET

Finance Committee Chair Tracey Fonzi works in conjunction with Treasurer Kevin Murphy.  They and FRIES-Doyon Budget Committee members meet prior to the monthly General Meeting to review funding requests.  With FRIES-Doyon epitomizing the term “grassroots fundraising”, we believe that our students and their families who generously donate and fundraise with us deserve to benefit from their efforts in a timely manner, and we make every effort to reach that goal.

Requests for funding are handled two ways:  those under $200 are approved or denied by the Budget Committee, while those over $200 are brought forward to the General Meeting for a vote, with the Budget Chair reporting the recommendation of the Budget Committee prior to opening the floor for discussion.

Questions often arise about FRIES-Doyon’s fundraising goals, and what the money is spent on.  During the past decade, FRIES-Doyon has purchased items for every classroom in the school, the music and art rooms, the gym and the playground, and the library.  In addition, FRIES-Doyon has provided funding for programs, projects, field trips, and presentations our students would have been unable to experience otherwise.

Donations to FRIES-Doyon

FRIES-Doyon is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and donations made to FRIES are tax-deductible as allowed by law.  Providing funding for enrichment programs, technology, and many other programs and materials that directly impact our students’ daily experience at the Doyon School, we always welcome your assistance in helping us support our children’s education.

In addition, many companies offer a matching fund program; you may be surprised to find that your employer would match your donation!  Please contact FRIES-Doyon Treasurer Kevin Murphy at kmurphy@thompson-engineering.com with questions you may have about your donation, and thank you for your continued support as we work together to provide for our students!
